What your support makes possible for families

A look at what we’ve built together this year.

As we look toward a new year, I’ve been thinking about what it means to care for an organization that was built by and for the people it serves. DAC has never belonged to one person or one department. It has been shaped by parents, attorneys, social workers, mentor parents, and community partners who continue to show up for families in the hardest moments of their lives.

This year, because of supporters like you, DAC has been able to stay true in its mission: keeping families together whenever it is safe to do so, and ensuring every parent is seen, heard, and represented with dignity.

Here is some of what we accomplished together in 2025:

✔ We served 608 clients in our general court services. 92% of them were considered indigent. 76% identified as BIPOC.

✔ We had 357 families contact First Call to access early prevention support

✔ 96 prevention intake cases were assigned to our Corridor program, supporting families at the intersection of child welfare and criminal justice systems

✔ 47 community members and service providers learned from our Know Your Rights trainings and 80% of community members reported increased knowledge and awareness of legal rights associated with child welfare system involvement

Every statistic represents a family that did not have to face the system alone.

As we enter the coming year, your gift of $25, $50, or $100 helps ensure that more parents have someone standing beside them.
